Child & Family Services (CFS)
The CFS program is intended to provide resources and funding to support the wholistic and culturally appropriate delivery of prevention and protection services to meet the needs of children, youth and families in Kahnawà:ke. The CFS program funds eligible recipients to provide services that account for the distinct needs of First Nations children, youth and families including cultural, historical and geographical circumstances.
CFS also includes post-majority care services. CFS initiatives provide early interventions in the lives of Kahnawa’kehró:non children and families living on-reserve. They encourage and support well-being of children, individuals and families through community interaction and approaches.
